SAT Subject Test

The SAT Subject Tests give you the chance to show colleges what you know. Colleges use them primarily in admission or for placement and advising once you enroll. For some topics—biology, chemistry, physics, history and foreign languages—Subject Tests are the only national standardized tests and can be a great way to show your strengths.

When should you take the tests?

Timing is key! It’s best to take a Subject Test after completing course work for the subject. For foreign languages, mathematics and literature, it may be beneficial to have two or more years of experience
