The January Exam period is now officially over. Tomorrow starts the first day of the Spring semester. Due to the cancellation of school on Thursday, January 27, the United States History Regents, Geometry Regents, Chemistry Regents, RCT in Science and RCT in Reading were not offered to our students. However, all other exams were offered and the results were favorable.
The best results came from the science exams, where 96% of the students taking the Earth Science exam passed. The Living Environment exam had good results also with 72% of the students taking the exam passing it. The brand new English exam had a nice outcome of 66% of the students passing it. This was the first time the exam has been offered to New York City schools. Finally, we have the Integrated Algebra exam with 50% of the students taking it, passing it. The results of the RCT’s: 60% of the students taking the RCT in US History passed and 63% of the students taking the RCT in Writing passed.
Grady is very proud of all of our students and wish them continued success in the school year. We remind you that tutoring goes on every day during the day and after school with the Sports & Arts Program as well as the Brienza program. Please take advantage of these opportunities to get the additional help necessary in order to succeed.
